Week 26

 Weekly Greetings!

Last week was packed full of surprises and activities. We started the week of with a visit from Mr. Kelso, who wanted to thank the students for their encouraging pictures. He had finished his first round of Chemo and plans to return next year.
Shortly after Mr. Kelso left, the Battle of the Books started. We had four students that read most of the books, and wanted to compete. They all said it was fun to participate, and hope to try for a higher ranking next year.
The district Science Fair will be held at the end of February, so the students worked in their groups to do the experiments they picked. This week, the hard part of trying to put it all together for a board project will begin.
In the Geography pod class, we finished up the continent of Asia with a dragon project. They are considered good luck in China. I am not sure how well the dragons made it home on Friday, but the students sure had fun making them.
This week we will have a Valentine's Day party on Thursday from 2pm to 3pm. I am sending home a list of students, and also asking for snacks with the Parent Letter on Monday. Please be watching for it. Also note that next Monday and Tuesday will be in-service days, so there will not be any school.

Have a wonderful week!

Kind Regards,

Julie Brown
